We live in the same house with an amazing woman. She is always in great shape, neatly made up, with beautiful, well-groomed hair and nails, and is always very friendly and sociable. Very beautiful in appearance. She doesn’t look more than forty years old. I’ve never seen her children, but I really wanted to.
Recently, my daughter and I were sitting on a bench near our entrance and suddenly she came up and we started talking while she was waiting for a taxi.
It turned out that she was already 65 years old. I was in shock. All her youth, she took care of her disabled mother. Her mother died, Sofia Pavlovna was then 32 years old. While she was caring for her mother, she had no personal life. She didn’t even use makeup until she was 32.
After the death of her mother, she had severe depression, which lasted half a year.
When she recovered a little from her grief, she was horrified to see herself in the mirror. In her reflection, she saw a pale, heartbroken aunt.
She remembered the words of her mother, who always told her: “You need to love yourself and take care of yourself. No one will love you if you don’t love yourself.”
Since then, Sofya Pavlovna has begun to pay great attention to herself, her health and appearance. She spends several hours a day on all sorts of hair and skin masks, goes to massages and to the gym. She eats right and does yoga.
She was so actively engaged in her appearance that a year later she began to look noticeably younger than her years. She did all this, not to marry her husband and create a family, but for herself. She loved herself so much that she didn’t even want to take care of anyone else. She didn’t need a husband and children, because they also needed to be looked after and cared for.
So she lives alone, she has no husband or children and never had. She already likes everything in her life.
